Café offers Nyonya, Western and local cuisine with my personal preference leaning towards Nyonya food - might not be the best out there but the flavours feels right and homey. Additionally they do have pastas and western cuisine to cater for kids as well. Service was just genuinely good.

Good ambience for group dining. Stew pork, fried vege are nice. Asam fish little light the taste to me. Price at high side for a lunch.

nice and clean environment, i like it that it's very bright, polite staff. Regarding the food, nasi lemak redang pork, more sambal would be good, the nyonya curry laksa, would taste better if the bean curd can be cooked together with the curry and thicker taste of the curry soup. Latte would be better if stronger coffee taste, feel a bit dilute Overall was good Early morning easier to find parking ????

Personally I love the Rendang Nasi Lemak. The Nasi smells good and yummy when serving. The sambal and pork Rendang yummylicios. The Macha lemonade super refreshing during the hot weather. If you are craving for Melaka nyonya dish, this cafe is a good choice.

We dropped by Pastea for late lunch and tried a mix of local and Western dishes. Our review of the food and the place. Sambal Petai Nasi Lemak: Fragrant coconut rice with a generous serving of sambal petai. The sambal packed a good spicy kick without being overwhelming, and the petai (stink beans) added that classic earthy bite. Anchovies and peanuts were crispy, and the sambal portion was just right. A satisfying traditional choice for spice lovers. Bacon Olio Spaghetti: Nicely done with a garlicky aroma and al dente pasta. The bacon added a smoky touch. Ice Guava Assam Boi Drink: Super refreshing! Perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and salty from the asam boi. Great palate cleanser between bites of spicy food. Hot Cappuccino: Smooth and well-frothed milk, decent coffee aroma, a pleasant way to end the meal. Service was friendly, and prices were fair for the portion sizes. Overall, a good spot if you’re craving a mix of local flavours and Western comfort food. Would definitely return to try more of their Nyonya dishes!

Non-halal restaurant. This is a good place to get home-cooked Peranakan food. What is good? Food, service and place. Restaurant is very clean and spacious. Nice comfortable deco in air con environment. Good recommendation for choices of food. We had the special dish of the day which was Claypot Asam Fish. Just nice, not very spicy. Good balance on spicyness, sourness and sweetness. Fish was fresh. Pork buah keluak : nice. Roast pork with special sauce and mildly spiced sambal served on the side were also very nice. Steamed ladies finger was fresh and the house sambal could be served over the vege or separately by the side. Omelette with cincalok was nicely done too. We had curry puffs and Pulut udang for dessert. The glutinous rice was very soft and served warm. Overall no complaints. We enjoyed our food and place here, a good place to go with friends and family. Advisable to make a reservation if coming on weekends.

Friendly proprietor with baba Melaka roots... Nice authentic flavors for the nasi lemak series and Pastea's rendition of pork ribs buah keluak was different than what we were used to but certainly worth exploring. Many other dishes on the menu which will have to try later. Other than nyonya dishes, there are quite a good selection of alternatives including grilled meats, all day breakfast, coffee/tea and cakes... basically something for everyone at any time of the day.

Very home cooked nyonya food. Satisfying. Will come with bigger crowd to try out other dishes in the menu.
